Application coloration capillaire

Discover Redken's Modern Virgin application. Whether you prefer a bowl and brush or bottle application, we have a method that's right for the haircolor brand you select.

PRINCIPLES OF HAIRCOLOR: MODERN VIRGIN APPLICATION

A Modern Virgin Application starts with the head sectioned into quadrants.
A bowl and brush application can be used for control. Use various sized brushes for extra control.
A bottle application can be used for speed and control. Tilt the nozzle applicator to one side for easy dispensing.
Density determines the size of sections. For thick, abundant hair, take smaller sections.

PRINCIPLE-BASED APPLICATION

Redken Principles are the foundation of everything we teach and are at the heart of our commitment to help salon professionals learn, earn and live better.

PRINCIPLES OF HAIRCOLOR: PRINCIPLE-BASED APPLICATION

Whether doing a global, all-over haircolor, a retouch, a balayage technique or creative foil placement, there are principles to follow to achieve beautiful haircolor results.
Redken principle-based applications use a common language so they can be universally understood
When we analyze a hair shaft, we realize that the longer the hair, the more textures and conditions we must consider when choosing our haircolor product, formulation and application method. Redken calls each of these areas a zone.
There are 3 Zones to the hair shaft:
1. Zone 1 is the scalp area
2. Zone 2 is the aged hair, possibly color-treated
3. Zone 3 is the over-porous hair. Not everyone has a Zone 3.
Zones are the first principle to consider when formulating and choosing your application technique

Sectioning is the key to every haircolor technique. It keeps you organized, gives you a road map to follow and helps keep the application neat. Redken shows you how following the head form will give you customized results every time.

PRINCIPLES OF HAIRCOLOR: SECTIONING & UNDERSTANDING THE HEADFORM

Sectioning is the key to every haircolor technique.
When sectioning, follow the head form for natural reference points.
Since the head form is a sphere and not a square shape, we need to define areas on the head as they change from one area to the next. The points where they change are called reference points and represent changes of direction.
Use reference points to section any head shape and create or re-create results, whatever application method or technique you choose.
Whether you prefer a bowl and brush or bottle application, Redken has you covered. See how a traditional application sets you up for perfect haircolor results every time.
