Laques Color Gels

I’ve been using Redken color gels forever... I loved this line and could mix freely to create the colors I wanted. The new glazes have been challenging to say the least. When I bought them to replaces my gels I was told by the rep to use them the same way. You Cannot use the glazes the same way! In fact, the RR, RV and RO say, in the colorswatch book, to NOT mix them with other colors as the outcome is unpredictable... obviously this has thrown a monkey wrench in my world. Please watch the undertones of the new colors! They have shifted... the NW series actually shifts from cool tones to warm tones going from dark to light... that was a lesson learned. I have not decided what to do, but am considering moving to another color line. Either way it looks like I’ve got to learn a new line anyway. After reading through the reviews I also see that I am no the only one having trouble with this line...

Been using color gels for years. 10na was the most beautiful blonde color and have had numerous compliments on my hair color. Actually was my signature color for years. This new line is horrible doesn’t even come close to a replacement. It turned my hair ash and terrible gray coverage. Hope Redken reconsiders bringing back the digital line- lots of unhappy customers.

Definately not impressed with the new lacquers. Been using Redken gels since they first came out. Have always loved my results. I carry a Lot of color in my shop. Would be out a lot of money switching lines. Definately not the coverage that I'm used to. Levels are different as well. I've found i need to go earlier with the lacquers.

I have been using color gels for a few years & have always had excellent results. I no longer get the gray coverage & the color is off. It is lighter than the original color gels, doesn’t provide the gray coverage. I wish the originals were back because I now have to find a new color.

Awful!! Harsh, one dimensional, fake looking color. Been using Redken for 35 years. Beyond dismayed that they discontinued a fantastic color system that people return to again and again for this. Just horrible. I’ve had to switch hair colors. So sad. Someone should be fired!!

I've been coloring hair professionally for 20 years and always used Redken COLOR GELS and loved it. Now I never know if this Lacquer is going to give full coverage or not. It's like rolling the dice. I hate it and I'm going to have to find another color line. Disappointed!

I have been using redkin gels for years and had great coverage on gray hair as well as all types it was fabulous and now the new formula is no where near!! Colors are to dark,not as much shine and I am very disappointed; have had to change to other color companies !!

I've used color gels over 40 years .The new gels are not as good having hard time adjusting formula 10na. Cannot get platinum colour has a different base. Hairdresser s are very. Upset over your change You had one of best colors why did you change

For 20 years I have used color gels and have had great results, now my blondes are super brassy and toner is not cutting through, and the gray coverage is not as good. I just tried the new NN’s and that has seamed to help the gray coverage.

Miserable trying to get this new product to work. My dark brown hair roots are RED with same WG Sun tea. Does not cover even 20% gray root touch-up, doesn't match, leaves gray hair. Terrible useless have to leave redken after 20 years

LOVE color gels lacquers. Great new formula. Have used Color Gels for years and liked but this is hands down an awesome product. Gentle, saturation of rich healthy color with excellent gray coverage!! Way to go Redken!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I actually really love the Color Gel Lacquers! I'm surprised so many people are having problems as I have also used Color Gels for YEARS. I LOVE the grey coverage- I don't have to pre-soften or lighten, it's such a time saver!

I’ve used redken color gels for as long as I remember. The new 10 NAhas changed and having trouble replacing it. I have unhappy customers. It is not the platinum color it was. Any suggestions?

Have used it twice with SEQ on ends to refresh and color was beautiful! Hair was shiny and glossy! It has only covered areas of gray that were 50-75% gray, leaving some stragglers at 100% gray.

I am a professional Stylist and the New Gel Lackers are great coverage. I used it in a client with 25 to 50 % gray hair and it was impressive how much it did cover. I used a 8N.

6NA did not cover my gray. I purchased the color and a huge bottle of the developer as I wanted to use both by Redken, now I am stuck with the developer. ZERO gray coverage.

The old Color Gels were amazing, why did you change them? The new lacquers have half the coverage for grey roots.

love this color. used on my client today and covered all her grays!! so muchh shine and beautifud color result!!

Been using for about 6 months and it has been a game changer, you can use to blend right into shades Eq!
