Heat Design 09: Gelée moelleuse thermo-modelante

How much should I use on short hair? I used a diime size amount and blew dry with cricket antinstatic brush. My hair looks terrible, flying all over the place! Do I need to use more?

I tried this product thinking it would be similar to the Velvet Gelatine 07. It left my hair so sticky that I could not brush or comb my hair after drying it. I will not use again.

I've used many different Redken products over the past decade or so and have really liked most of what I've tried. Being a product junky I always like to try new products when they come out and when I was in the market to replace my Velvet Gelatine I saw this new Duo Shield and decided to give it a try. From the first time I used it I was disappointed in the packaging -- the product is packaged with the cream isolated in its own tube surrounded by the gel. It seems like a neat idea but it's just not practical. I have never gotten a consistent ratio of gel/cream which means I have different results every time. Now that I'm using the last 1/3 of the tube it's gotten even worse. Overall I think the product itself is great, with the correct ratio it gives great body and hold, however the packaging is what will keep me from buying this again. I think there are many different solutions to a mixed medium combination like this that would work much better and deliver more consistent results. If the packaging changes I'd give Due Shield 5/5 for all of the categories (overall, quality and value) and would definitely recommend it to a friend!

It holds my thin, fine hair - and gives it some body, too! Love this product!
