Refreshing Curl Mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted the Redken Refreshing Curl Mist complementary from BzzAgent and it could not have arrived at a better time. As a natural curly/wavy haired girl, I have been best friends with my blow dryer and straightener for the last 15 years, and finally decided it was time to learn to embrace my natural hair but was struggling to figure out how to style it. I also received Redken Sculpting Curl Gel, and the two of these together are a match made in heaven. The curl refresher has a light, slightly oily consistency that helps mitigate frizz while adding shine and shape to my hair. I used the gel on damp hair and I found I only needed to the refresher on day two, and my curls lasted and kept well until my wash day (day 5). It dries well, no crunchy finish. I evenly coated small sections with the mist, brushed through and re-scrunched to achieve my desired look. These two products work better than anything I have tried for my hair and I will definitely be repurchasing them both.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3B/3C mid-length curls, and I wash my hair twice a week. On the second day after washing, I start to notice frizz appearing. Therefore, I am always on the lookout for a refreshing spray for the days in between washes to revive my curls and control frizz. I've tried using it on slightly damp and dry hair, which worked well in both cases. It didn't leave any stickiness or build-up on my hair. It also has a clean smell and is not too strong. It's a great product to use daily. I do wish it had a little bit of control properties. Overall it made my hair soft and manageable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free (thank you!). I used Redken styling gel a day before and woke up and was excited to try the mist. I've never tried a product like this, I typically use more product (gel/mousse) and water to redefine the curls. So a product like this is very unique in the market. The product comes out as a mist (as the name implies) but comes out in spritz rather than like a continuous mist. One thing I noticed right off the bat was the amount of product that comes out. It's not enough for thick hair like mine or someone with long hair. So it took a while to get enough to make my hair damp. After I got enough, I scrunched my hair and finger coiled the pieces that needed it. And as you can see from the images, it did a decent job. I would totally go out with my hair looking like that. However it wasn't what I was used to. It was too dull in appearance. So I went in with water after and scrunched some water and that brought back the shine. I think if Redken makes a continuous spray version and adds some oils or shine properties I would purchase this product!

I am reviewing these products together as I am using them together. Redken Sculpting Curl Gel has a creamy smooth texture without a greasy feel. The Curl Gel has a pleasant scent which I enjoy in my hair products and not in facial products. I have thick naturally curly hair that also has frizz. I've tried so many products trying to "embrace the curl!" This Curl Gel really shaped my curls. If my hair wasn't so thick, I think I would like how this product works better than I did. After my hair dried, I sprayed on the Curl Mist ( also has a please scent). I love how the curl mist helps to tame the frizz. That was the game changer. Ultimately, I ended up gently flat ironing my hair to get the bulk out. (I failed at embracing my curls.) I sprayed in more Curl Mist and love how my hair looks and better yet feels. So for me, I like applying both of these to get a looser curl. For those looking for more hold and more defined curls, this works great!

If you have curly hair, you know that you want your curls to look great for as long as possible because washing and styling is a ton of work. I used this refreshing mist on day 2,3,4 and 5 hair and it never did a thing for them. I tried spraying in different amounts. Some days I just sprayed in product and scrunched, while others I actually tried to diffuse my hair after using the product. My curls remained flat and frizzy. The product claims that it can refresh curls for 7 days without washing. Maybe it just isn't the right product for my hair.

I sprayed this on through my hair and it made my hair feel so soft and moisturized! It has Squalane and Jojoba Oil in it which helped give it that moisture and refreshed my curls! After I sprayed it on my hair I went through like it says on the directions and twisted and recoiled my hair to help my curls. It did leave a conditioner like texture on my hands but it didn't bother me as I knew it's the moisturizing effect helping my curls! Other than that I really like this product! I used it with the Sculpting Curl Gel and they work wonders together! My hair was shiny, soft and very easy to style after using the Refreshing Curl Mist! It also smells so good!

I have used this spray for a day 2 and 3 refresh and it works well. I did notice if I used to much my hair would feel a little off not sticky nor crunchy but it between if you will. I tried it on dry hair and on damp hair and I liked it better on slightly damp hair. I have also used it on a wash day later in the day as it was pouring outside and my curls were a mess and it was a perfect pick me up for my curls. I will definitely keep using this product and will purchase it again.

Normally I re-wet my hair and cake more product into it. This quick and easy spray saved me several steps. Normally my second day hair is weighed down and flat but I got volume and definition using this mist. If there is one standout feature of this spray, it's got to be the fact that it refreshes curls without leaving any residue or weighing them down. Unlike many other products that I have tried, the Redken Refreshing Curl Mist leaves my hair feeling light and airy, as if I just took a shower. Left my hair shiny, and the frizz was noticeably less frizzy. Use it on one section of my hair to see the difference on the other side and it looked amazing! The other side was still frizzy while the other one was shiny and lightweight I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is looking for a spray to help with shine and less frizz on a day. You have to leave the house fast and I recommend to a friend for sure.

My hair style looks perfect each time I've used this refreshing curl mist. When you smile in the mirror looking at your hairs front and back then turn around with amazement! This is that one product that you definitely want and need to add to your hair style routine. It's a refreshing way to rejuvenate those pretty curls hydration to revitalize deflated or weighed down curls. To refresh my curls I use a few sprays of the curl mist, spraying evenly in sections through dry hair and scrunch or re coil the curls with my fingers. Then allow the product to air dry! Remember to shake bottle well before use. The scent is fabulous and I love using this! It's like magic in a bottle. Redken always does good for my hair.

It actually compliments other products that may be in your hair, to give your hair a jolt and revitalize its curl pattern. The bottle is a comfortable size that is one hand friendly. As someone who only washes their hair 2-3 times per week, this product has been extremely effective at keeping my hair looking great for up to 4 days after washing my hair. It's a great alternative to using water in a spray bottle to refresh your day-2 or day-3 curls, which is what I had been doing before Redken gave me this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I recently cut my hair short a month ago to grow my hair back to its natural state. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It really does the job! I like this refreshing mist a lot and it doesn't wraith my hair down or make it greasy. The smell is light it almost non-existent. And it really seems to help tame my frizz even for the almost 72 hours they claimed it would. I got lots of compliments. My only suggestion is if it came in a glass spray bottle so it would be easier to handle and not be so hard on my hand with the pump action of the current design.

But I waited 7 days and used this curl mist on my curly hair. I have very dry hair especially after leaving it out in curls so I had no hopes for this product. But with sections and spraying the mist and alittle water I was able to get my curls back after 7 days

I use the refreshing curl mist after wash hair days just because it keeps my hair bouncy and I don't feel the need to use gel but in between, it is a nice refresh! It smells great. Not sticky. I liked how it gave a light hydration without resulting in build up. Considering some of the first ingredients include water and glycerin, it gave me a bit of reassurance. Well I don't really refresh my hair because I wash it pretty often but I would like a product so I can wash it less. This is not it. I understand my hair is difficult. Fine, dense, curly. This product makes my hair drier and at the same time, frizzier. I think it's engineered with different hair in mind.

I try to only wash my hair 1-2 times per week as it tends to make my hair dry and hard to control so this sounded like a great option for me to extend the life of my washes. I sprayed my hair and it was easy to get everything saturated quickly. I was able to work the curls back into a nice pattern, but I noticed that there was still a good amount of frizz and it did not do much to pull the oil out of my hair. Overall, I feel like this product could be used instead of dry shampoo.

I've always been a fan of Redken's products but haven't gotten around to using this particular line yet even though it's made for my hair type. This mist has quickly become a staple for me. It tames flyaways and helps fight frizz while giving curls a boost of moisture that lasts most of the day. The squalane and jojoba oil help to condition strands while adding shine. My hair feels so soft and smooth when I use this. I need to get the travel size to carry around in my purse. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I adore refreshing curl spray! This formula has some hold to it and I'm 100 percent here for it! The spray nozzle worked extremely well and the product released was pretty close to perfect. Some sprays deliver too much or all just in one area, this however covered nice and uniformly. The texture was nice and smooth and not sticky. I like to spray on already moist hair(with my water spray bottle) give it a scrunch, plop and then diffuse. I really love how soft this also made my curls feel. The scent was pleasant and not overwhelming, exactly what I'm looking for in a refresher spray!

My hair can be anywhere from 2C waves to 3A curls or even a mixture of the two. Especially after sleeping on it. I've only found a few products that actually help to revive my second day curls and this is one of them. I really love the lightweight feel to this curl mist. It isn't like a sticky gel or hairspray like texture. Rather, it is a thin liquid spray that provides a slight hold and helps to give life back to my curls. There is no stickiness involved whatsoever, which I really love because I really hate the crunchy curls look and hate the feel of it even more. I have found myself using this every time I have a second day curly hairstyle and its claims have held up. I can't speak for the seven day curls claims as my hair is way too thin and greasy to let it go that long between washes but overall, I think this is a really good product! It also gets a bonus because it smells really good!!!!
