I use this on my sons’ hair to style it. They really prefer this to other brands and products I have tried, but they think it is still too sticky, and don’t like the texture later in the day even once it has settled. It looks great in their hair, but they aren’t fold of the feel, so if that is a concern for you too, then maybe keep that in mind. Great smell, a little goes a long way!

This pliable paste from Redken is PERFECT if you want a lightweight, non-sticky paste to piece out your hair! It’s great for long or short hair and it’s moldable to your hair preference. It’s not a gel where it’s very wet and gooey. On my hair, I use it to smooth out my flyaways on the top and for piecing out the bottom and front. You can twist your hair and it gives it a nice smooth wave. It’s very lightly scented, not unpleasant or strong at all. And a TINY bit goes a long way. I have been using this product for many years. The product had seemed to changed but thought maybe it was only me. Seeing that I'm not the only one, I agree the old formula was better. It was thicker and allowed for better styling. The new formula helps to hold your hair in place if you can get it styled well. This doesn't help as well with the styling though. I do like that it's not greasy and that I can wet my hair and restyle. If I could find a product like the older formula, I would buy it instead.

I have used Redken Rewind for years but that ended when I got the 'new and improved' formula. It is not the same. I am better off styling my hair with water. They should really remove the 'web of support' from the description because that does not exist anymore. It is so bad I had to take a minute to congratulate the people at Redken for taking a great product and improving it to the point of being totally worthless. Job well done. I wish i could give zero stars but the site won't let me.

The original packaging was much better. Anytime a company changes the packaging (for the worse) be very concerned. It was probably a prelude to watering the product down. It is very runny now and does not have the thickness it used to nor is the hold as good. I’m not sure how these companies are getting away with all the shrinkflation. Don’t take my word for it. Check yourself if you remember what the original rewind was like compared to now.

I really like this styling paste ever since my hairstylist recommended it to me over a decade ago. The scent is great and I love how I can use it just where I need it. I use it mostly now for around my face to keep the hair going exactly where I want it. When I have strands that won’t behave, I love the I can put just a speck of Redken Rewind on those, tuck them behind my ear and never think of them again (despite my hair being short)

I use this pomade on male clients at my salon. It’s my go to for them. You don’t need a lot of product to achieve the style you want. It’s very pliable. And the clients like it because it doesn’t leave their hair hard or crunchy like other pomades do. If you want something with a high hold, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for something flexible or something that defines your hair, this product is great!

Horrible change made to new formula

The new container contains a formula in which I will never buy again. I would suggest whomever is reading this does not buy as well. It should be marketed, great new container look with very bad changes that do not come close to what we used to offer. If you ever go back to what it used to be, let me know. I have been a user for over 15 years. All Redken products will now be banned in my house.

Redkin Rewind
When this was packaged as rewind, it was a decent hair product however since re-packaging (which was a terrible idea), there is so much inconsistency. In the past year or more it seems as though it’s more of a greasy lotion than a stiff hair paste…there’s definitely something suspicious going on so be very careful using this product as it is no longer what it used to be.

I just ran out of my original Redken Rewind and purchased the new one yesterday- I asked if it was the same and was told "yes, it was just new packaging" I'm so dissapointed...It's not "webby" at all and it's alot looser & wet. Weighs my hair down now and it's a little more greasy. I loved the original..I'm returning it back to the salon today and will have to find a different product.

I used Redken Aerate 08 for many years. When it was discontinued, I began using the Pliable Paste product. I do not like this product. It is drying my hair out even using a very minimal amount. Using it I have flyaway frizzy hair which I never had using Redken Aerate 08. Change is not always good. I tried Redken, but afraid I have to try another product line.

This is the one product I have consistently used for my hair to style it. I have short hair and like to keep it low maintenance, but this styling paste is so easy to use and not feel like I’m filling my hair with product. It’s just enough hold to put my hair where I want it to be while keeping it soft to touch and not all gunky. Plus it lasts a long time!

Now it is just like any other paste product so why spend the extra to buy it. I am extremely unhappy with the "new and improved" product. The old product would have gotten 5 stars but not this one.

This product is good. I don't use it all the time only when wanting to wear my hair curly and need to control a few stray hairs. It lasts me a long time. It smells good. I would recommend it to others for the stray help but that's all I use it for. Wish it came in a smaller size so I could not waste a big thing when it gets to old.

I have used Rewind for years and recently purchased the new black jar. It is nothing like what Rewind used to be. It is chunky and greasy! Please bring back the old Rewind. I even had my hairdresser check hers to see if it was greasy and she said she has received complaints as well. I am now looking for a new product for styling.

I used to use this product all the time with my pixie. It was so easy—wash, condition, towel dry and apply a serum and then this. Slick down my hair with my hands and let it air dry. Easy peasy. I have extremely thick, coarse hair so getting it to not frizz or be full on top of my head was key. Makes me miss my pixie Lol

This is not typically a product I would use. However, my daughter and I have found the perfect use for it. We use it on our parts to keep those annoying little baby hairs from sticking up. A little goes a long way, and it really works to keep those part, short hairs from sticking up. It works much better than hairspray.

Love this product! I use it before blowdrying and it gives my hair fullness and flow without weighing it down and becoming greasy! Makes my blowdry last for as long as 3 days. Just apply a little from mids to end on damp hair and then blowdry as desired. Your hair will feel full and flowy without feeling hard to greasy.

I went through two jars of the new formula hoping the first jar was an anomaly or something. Nope, they took away the web-like fibrous consistency and now it is like any other cheap generic product. Please bring back the web consistency! Sad to say I must move on to another product, no reason to pay premium for this.

Whoa! This products absolutely takes the frizz away but you have to use it consciously. You can use too much easily. However I have tons of fly always & look crazy when I don’t apply this! I also use it for a clean part like a gel. I also use it for volume but applying lightly at the root & pulling up. It’s a love!

I have been using the Redken Textured Paste forever on my short pixie spike. Found it has been discontinued and replaced with this product. Gave it a try. Have used about 30 days. Not impressed. Appears greasy feeling and doesn't really spike/stiffen my hair like the paste. This was a waste of my $.

I've had the same container of Rewind for months now. It doesn't take much to style your hair or hold a good shape and it looks natural when it dries. It doesn't get that really dry and crusty feel, which I hate! I'm also not worried about adding shine or anything like that so it's wonderful for me.

I used this for years and then was out of the country. Just came back and bought a jar (black jar now) and it's not the same product. It doesn't make the webbing mesh. Dissappointed. Read reviews and see something changed a few years ago..why would they change a "great" product??

Rewind 06 is meant to be a pliable, malleable styling paste with a moderate hold. If you need a stronger hold, you should try Rough Paste 12. This paste offers more hold while still offering pliable, workable texture.

This product is versatile and doesn’t leave your hair feeling greasy. You can use it more like a gel or you can dab in certain places and create grip and shine. It last forever and I swear it never goes bad. Lol I usually buy the smaller sample size because it lasts a long time.

Great for adding some fiberous texture to get some volume without weight or waxy feel. Activate the fibers by clapping hands together and throw the fibers onto your hair...great on wet or dry hair. wet to add volume and texture...dry to lift and hold. Not creamy more gel like.

I've been using Rewind for years and bought a new jar and didn't get the fibers you are supposed to get. Returned to the store to exchange and same thing. Did you change the product or did I get a bad batch. Normally I would recommend this product but not the way it is now

It's not that bad, but on the same side not that good. I have short-to medium hair, and was looking for a soft product that was changeable and also gave a defining shine. This gave me the flexibility, but not much shine. when it dried the shine went away.

My stylist suggested this one - it wasn't strong enough and my hair wasn't shiny! All the other pastes/clays you have are matte finish and not super hold either. Why did you guys discontinue my Electric Wax!!!!!!!!! Aveda also discontinued their best wax

It fried my hair gave me a color chemical burn. My hair has never gotten damaged from using shades eq this was my 1st time using shades eq plus bonder . My hair strand elasticity strength is weak and breaks off and coils back crunchy , it feels like gum
I used it as directed and I don’t have any medications and it felt horrible while I rinsed it with just water before I used my vegan shampoo
It’s been a horrible experience, I’ve been using non permanent hair color for a couple years now to regrow natural healthy hair. And now my entire hair strand is damaged. I contacted redken directly and the rep was rude and kept talking about herself and how she’s a chemist and she burns her hair off and blah blah blah. Very rude I’m literally in shock .

My stylist uses this on my hair when I get my balayage lightening. Rather than paying 80.00 for a toner application only between full services, I decided to try it at home. Mixed it exactly as was described using 2 bonder colors (9V and 10GRo), 000 crystal clear, and the processing solution. Applied to clean, dry hair and left it on for 20 minutes. May hair looks like I just left the salon. It is shiny, soft and the color is exactly what I was looking for. I realize doing a home hair color job is not always recommended and can be done incorrectly, but I followed all the directions and it came out perfect.

DREADFUL PRODUCT!!

I used the product a week ago. It made my hair extremely, dry, fizzy and stiff -- more like straw than hair. I to correct the situation by using deep conditioner, mask, your 25 Benefits One United in an attempt to reverse the damage/condition -- no improvement. I couldn't be more upset, worried, unhappy and at loss as to how to restore my hair to its previous state..

Crap product

I used the shades eq gloss and the gel product with it and my hair is HORRIBLE now. The color is cute but my gorgeous soft long hair is freaking straw now. I can’t even wear it down it’s so staticky. Redken ruined my hair
