Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Liquid Hair Mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, let me say this mask smells amazing. But the wonderful fragrance is just the beginning. This mask doesn't just coat the outside of my hair, but melts into my hair and is absorbed deep inside the hair. As soon as applied this mask immediately detangles and only gets better. Before using this mask, my wet hair was almost impossible to brush without pulling and breaking. After using this mask my hair is no longer a tangled mess when I get out of the shower. I could see an instant difference after the first use.

I put in my hair from mid length to the ends and then combed through and then shaved my legs while it set in LOL. It was not heavy in my hair, it had a slight scent and left my hair feeling deep conditioned. A great product for those with long hair or color treated/ damaged hair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I saw this new product I have been dying to try it. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. My hair is loving it!! It is comparable to Olaplex, but so much better. The acidic bonding concentrate mask from Redken has repaired my hair in just a few weeks. It has strengthed my damaged areas and I also feel it has repaired those areas and will prevent damage from happening. This product does wonders and you can most definitely see the difference after just one use. I noticed that my hair had less shedding as well. My hair looks so much healthier and feels soft, smooth and silky after the first use. Now when I style I have less frizz. My hair feels amazing.

I like this mask for the most part. My one complaint is that it seems a little difficult to spread evenly through my hair. I also feel the consistency of the mask closer to a lotion than a hair mask. I do feel it works well for my hair as my hair does look healthier after I use this mask. My hair also feels softer, but not as soft as when I use other hair masks. In the end, I do feel this masks works and I would consider buying this hair mask in the future.

I love the sleek, easy to get the product out packaging design. Some products come in bottles and I like this packaging much better to allow easy squeezing of product in the shower. It goes on smoothly on wet hair and there is no harsh chemical smell like some other products. I also like that it is only 5 minutes of waiting verses 10 minutes like some other products. After rinsing, washing, and drying, hair is definitely smoother than before. My hair is finer, so this product really shows a difference after one use. Overall, I recommend it if you are looking for something to smooth out dry ends, and fraying!

And one of the things I really like is my hair continues to smell great days later. I have curly 3b hair so I only wash once a week. So for a shampoo and conditioner duo that continues to smell good days and days later is great! My hair felt so amazing after only using once. I did go ahead and wash and condition again a couple days later just so I could get a good idea of this product. But if you're on the fence I highly recommend both the shampoo and conditioner. I have always either used color wow or opaplex. And I have now found my new go to!!! LOVE IT!

Using Redken in early 90's, I did really like but haven't used in years. I was chosen to test this product and I will honestly say, I've used twice in three weeks and my hair is so soft and shiny. My hair is pretty porous from bleaching and dry from summer. Went a few shades darker for Fall, still felt dull until I tried this product!! It is a must!! You will not be disappointed!!❤️

I was inspired to write this review today after getting compliments on my hair from a complete stranger after freshening up my blonde and toning my hair, then using the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate 5-Min Mask. I must attribute this to the mask because I pulled my foils too early. I still need to add my root shadow, so no big deal. But I ran out of time before I had to go somewhere and decided to just blow dry and finish it up later. Anyhow I'm at a baby shower this afternoon and this one woman went on and on about my hair and several other people noted my well-put together appearance. Despite my slightly orangey/yellow tinted roots, my hair shaggy cut looked crisp and neat, while still having the edge I like without the frizz and dullness that comes from damage. My hair looked bright, silky and shiny. I use Redken Spray Wax for texture and pieceyness, which really pops when your hair is in good shape. The backstory - I've know my hair was in poor shape over the last year after so many chemical treatments and bleach, but haven't had the funds to do much about it. However, while recently shopping for a few styling products on Redken's site I came across the Acidic Bonding line and decided to give the liquid mask a try. As soon as I opened the cap I was in love with the scent! I added about a dime to nickel sized dollop into my hand, flipped my hair over and worked it through mid to ends as instructed. And wow! I instantly noticed how silky my hair felt as my usual post-shampoo, tangled-when-wet hair suddenly became effortlessly detangled. About 5 minutes later I rinsed the mask with cool water. Now, normally when I put any conditioner or treatment in my hair, it loses its slip or silkening effect right after rinsing it out, so I add other treatments before I comb, dry and style it. Not this time! My hair remained silky and detangled post rinse - and remained that way after putting into one of those microfiber wrap towels for 45 minutes while doing my face treatments and makeup. To style, I followed my normal routine - pumping a few spritzes of One United as a leave-in and heat protectant, combing my hair out straight, then blowing it out, quickly run a flat iron through the face framing sides, spray wax those and my bangs, and that's it. My hair hasn't looked or felt so healthy in several years since going blonde. I absolutely love this mask. It's truly transformed my hair!! (It's confusing to see how some people have a such different experiences with this product. I'd just suggest that other bleached hair user test it on a section of your hair first if there is some reason it doesn't work well or seems to cause damage rather than repair. Maybe they're not following directions? Using too much? Leaving on for too long? Or,perhaps there's a reaction when using in tandem with another shampoo or conditioning product ingredient being used right before using this mask?? Or maybe it's something else, totally unrelated and they're attributing it to the mask.Hmmmm)

I have fine, curly hair that was damaged due to color, lightning. I started using this treatment about 3 wks ago and can feel a drastic difference and change in the look and feel of my hair. I have used it once a week for 3 weeks. My hair feels softer, my ends are smoother and i have a significant change in the frizziness I was dealing with. I was blown away after my first wash! I have frizzy, fine, wavy hair that has been bleached and/or colored for most of my life. I followed the directions and my test to see how well it worked was to try running a wide tooth comb through my hair while wet before putting in any product. It combed through like silk! I let my hair air dry and it was soft and silky with much less frizz. I've used it twice more and my hair has never looked better. I definitely recommend it and will purchase when I'm out.

The product was a lot thinner than I was expecting. The 5 minute timeline was really exciting to me. Most hair masks I have used have a lotion like texture, but this was much more liquidy. I had to use quite a bit more of the product the cover my hair. My hair felt softer afterwards, but I can't say that it made a huge difference yet. I am excited to keep trying it to see a long term change.

I wasn't expecting to receive a full size, but they did send a full size and it is HUGE! After shampooing your hair you put the mask on from mid to ends and let it sit for 5 minutes. This mask smells SO GOOD, it smells like oranges and something else I can't quite figure out. After letting my hair air dry I brushed it, I usually don't have a lot of tangles but I did notice it was almost completely smooth brushing through. My hair was noticeably softer and my curls seemed more defined and seemed lighter. Overall I will be buying this whenever I run out!

It's to be used after the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo. After 5 minutes I rinsed the mask out of my hair and my hair felt so wonderful. It felt so clean and fresh. There was no residue like you get from conditioner or other hair masks. This made my hair feel so good, and the smell is really nice too. When I styled my hair afterward,(I use one of the brushes that also dries your hair as you style it with the brush), I didn't even have to go over it with my straightener like I usually do. Very clean and fragrant smelling. The consistency is a perfect mix of thickness for richness, while having the slip and "spreadability" of a thinner consistency conditioner/mask. Perfectly evenly coated hair and made my unruly curly hair so easy to detangle. I then left the product on for like 30 minutes. Once I rinsed the product out my hair felt like silk and had an amazing shine once dry. It remained very silky and smooth for longer than just using a normal conditioner. And with continued use, I believe it has been reducing the appearance of my split ends. I love this product and will buy it consistently. It's not an entirely thick mask and I don't feel like it rinses out and makes your hair feel that almost silky texture BUT I feel like when my hair is dried and styled, it's softer, smoother and generally feels a lot better when I use it vs when I just use regular conditioner. I cannot speak on the long-term effects since I have only used this a few times. My hair was easy to detangle, and it felt noticeably softer. However, it did not help with the frizz at all. I'm not sure if it claims to. But I do know it claims to provide more hydration, and for me, that was not the case. I bleach my hair often, so I need products with more hydration and bond repair. I would not purchase this. I think there are better products out there.

The mask went on very easy and saturated my hair. I only had to use a small amount to get good coverage. The results were fluffy hair after I dried it. Smooth and full of volume. Unfortunately, I had nose surgery a couple weeks ago, so I don't know if there is any fragrance since I can't smell yet. Texture is like a thin lotion.
