High Rise Volume Lifting Shampoo

I used BODY FULL shampoo for years. I loved it. It left my thin, fine hair healthy, soft, and feeling clean with a light scents. I tried High Rise Volume. It has left my hair greasy and heavy in comparison to the Body Full. I then tried Beach Envy which I eventually found an okay substitute to Body Full. It has also been discontinued now so I tried this again. No, it's still terrible; it has left my hair heavy and oily with a cloying scent. Please reconsider bringing back a shampoo that is cleansing and light with a decent scent that won't turn my hair into an oily limp mess. Please bring back Body Full.

Even though I have super fine hair, I typically shy away from Volumizing formulas because they tend to be drying. I just started using this product and I really like it! I get body and shine without the stripping and drying effect. I will say I don't use its matching conditioner...I chose to pair it with the Redken Color Magnetics conditioner to give my ends more moisture. This combination really works well for mess I get the lift I need at the room and the extra moisture on the ends. Also the price point is amazing and less than other brands I often use.

As far as volumizing shampoos I've tried this is a top 3 for me. I first received a sample and tried it on my fine thin oily hair. I typically blow dry to add volume but I decided to air dry. I went to bed expecting my hair to be a limp lifeless mess in the morning. Instead it was bouncy and full. It definitely had lots of volume compared to normal. The shampoo smells nice, lathers well and rinses easily without leftover residue. My hair felt clean also. Redken is a high end brand but well worth the price in my opinion. You get what you pay for!

I received this as a sample in a subscription box. I was a bit disappointed at first when I saw the sample packet because I have a lot of hair and it didn't seem like enough shampoo to do the job...but I was wrong. This shampoo has amazing lather power and I was able to wash all of my hair with one small packet. The smell is very mild and the shampoo rinsed clean with out making my hair feel coarse. My hair also felt full and soft once dry. I would recommend and purchase this product.

I bought this a couple weeks ago, hoping to get some volume in my long, straight and thin hair. I was surprised that it had so little lather to it that I had to add 3-4 extra pumps of it to cover my hair completely. I’m really disappointed and I won’t buy this again. Before I try a different brand, I’ll try a different formula though. I have always used Redken and I don’t want to switch to something else unless I have to. I bought the liter bottle of course and now I have to throw it out and get something different. That’s how bad it is. I don’t complain about products unless there’s something serious to mention. This was definitely worth mentioning because I spent a lot money on what I thought was going to build up my volume. Oh well, live and learn I guess. I’m writing this to hopefully help someone else.

I tried the High Rise shampoo after Body Full was discontinued. I could not tolerate the chemical smell and it didn't do a goo job cleaning my hair. I then tried the Beach Envy and loved it!!!! I can't believe that Redken is discontinuing the better of the two volumizing shampoos. My guess is that not enough distributors offered the Beach Envy since I had to work hard to find it. Guess I'm going to have to find some other shampoo manufacturer to meet my needs.

This came out concurrently with another favourite Redken shampoo line; Redken Beach Envy Shampoo Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo For Big Beachy Texture . I prefer the later but it wasn't an option to review on this list given to me by Influenster. I think the city volume does work decently well when used with the conditioner by the same name. The trick is to shampoo twice and when you condition, don't use on your roots.

I am so sad and disappointed with this shampoo and conditioner. Body Full was absolutely amazing and I am appalled Redken discontinued that line. This High Rise shampoo and conditioner makes my hair flat and tangled. It does nothing positive for my hair. Body Full gave my hair so much life and volume and I haven't been able to find anything comparable to it. Do not waste your money on this product. :(
