Acidic Grow Full System Instant Densifying Hair Spray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The acidic grow full product line has really helped grow my hair along with making more volume for me. I typically have very thin hair and it is very hard to give it any movement. While using instant densifying spray I was able to achieve a little bit more length and a little bit more volume. Simple to use after the shower and doesn't dry out my scalp like some products. Spray nozzle held up well, I ended up wiping it off after use but it only took me a second to make sure there was no buildup on the nozzle. A nice fine mist helps to make even distribution of the product in my hair. Definitely a good system.

I was pleasantly surprised how great this densifying spray is. It gives you a really nice lift. I usually use this as the last step of my Redken routine. After shampooing and condition i get the serum worked in and then go spray happe all over my hair. It makes them feel really nice and full as well as smell nice. Unfortunately it doesnt smell as delicious as the shampoo but it will do! Love it! Just makes sure to spray not to close to your head though otherwise your hair will just feel crusty. Put some distance between your hair and spray.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spray gives me instantly volume, it really delivers, I apply it to damp hair and can see the lift at the roots right away, it doesn’t leave my hair stiff or sticky, on the contrary maintains a natural finish with movement, it also like that it provides heat protection when I use styling tools and I love the fresh scent that it leaves in my hair, smells so clean.

This spray has the same Lemonchello scent as the rest of the system. The bottle has a nice spray function with a locking and unlocking tab which is great for travel. This Densifying spray feels and acts to me like a sea salt spray. While wet, this product is slightly tacky and once dried, feels like the hair has a gritty almost texture to it. This threw me off a bit as the Redken products are usually soft and clean feeling to me. I am excited to see the after affects after use over time.

The Instant Densifying Spray gives my hair that immediate fuller look without feeling sticky or stiff, which is huge for my fine/thinning hair days. I spray it at the roots and through the lengths before styling, and it instantly makes my hair look thicker and more alive, not weighed down. It also layers really well with heat styling and doesn’t leave that crunchy residue some volume sprays do. Keeps my scalp feeling clean and very easy to wash out at the end of the day. I don’t feel any residue left behind. The product thickens my hair to last all day and I work in a hospital so some days are more trying than others.

I am gonna tell you how I use it: I spray it at the roots before blow drying, I swear, difference and effect is visible after even first use. My hair looks fuller, without feeling stiff or crunchy. What I noticed is that it does not make fake volume. It enhances what you actually have. For my thin, postpartum hair that struggles with styling, this spray makes everything easier. My blowouts last much longer, my roots don’t collapse in two hours, and I don’t need heavy teasing anymore. Plus it has thermo protection formula. After styling I do not even use some setting products because there is no need for that. Thermo protection is the most important plus in my opinion. The product has such a clean, natural and light scent. IDK what formula are they using but it is fact, the ingredients are chosen very carefully, so the result is just amazing. I was frustrated, my thin hair got even thinner after pregnancy and breastfeeding, styling became disappointing instead of enjoyable, I missed feeling confident about my hair… and this REDKEN system gave me everything I needed. It strengthened, reduced shedding, made styling easier,gave my hair body without weight. This is exactly what thin hair needs. The densifying spray smooths hair while adding structure and light fullness without any stiffness . I’ve noticed less breakage while styling and my hair looks more polished overall. The scent isn’t anything memorable but it’s clean and pleasant. A tea tree oil and rosemary base with a subtle hint of citrus. It smells fresh and herbal but fades after awhile on the hair. The systems works best when used together. Each product complements the others, creating healthier looking, smoother, fuller feeling hair. While the scent isn’t a standout feature, the performance is. The system creates a solid foundation for stronger fuller looking hair while supporting scalp health.

The locking mechanism on the bottle is useful for making sure it doesn't spray when you're traveling and I don't think I've ever seen another hair product with a little toggle to lock the lever, so I thought that was pretty cool. I feel like this product, which happens to be step 4, is the only one that makes a noticeable difference in my hair. I could do without the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. In fact, I've used this densifying spray after using regular shampoo instead of the rest of the Acidic Grow line and still had good results.

Nice size bottle with a closing mechanism so it won’t spray out into your shower bag at college or when going on vacation. It dries super fast but the consistency was kind of slimy. It has a pleasant clean scent. The instructions weren’t very clear but I assumed that you spray it on your roots and rub in the help strengthen your hair and promote growth. I didn’t see any visible results after two weeks of use every single day. It left my hair a little crunchy.. my hair density didn’t seem to change. Great value but wouldn’t purchase.

My hair felt soft and manageable. Drying time was average to normal drying time of my hair since I applied it to my wet hair. I feel this is very great quality and and sprayed evenly where I wanted it to. The direct nozzle makes it easy to apply exactly where you want it. I am very satisfied with this product.

It light weight doesn’t weigh the hair down and the fragrance is light and pleasant. It didn’t make the hair feel sticky or greasy. My hair when dry felt like dry straw and not sure if due to winter in SoCal which is dry or low/no humidity or if due to being first time using a ph balance product but it also made my scalp itchy due to dryness without dandruff

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I absolutely HATE the packaging of this line…especially the Densifying Spray. I went to apply to my hair and *pop* - the entire top with the trigger went flying!!! I was able to snap it back on, but it took some work popping it back together. Then…it wouldn’t even spray. After about 40 tries, it finally worked! So exhausting!!! All that said, once I got the protect applied, my hair DID feel a little denser…like there was more ‘meat’ to each strand. Not a huge amount, mind you, but to the point I could feel it in my fingers. I’m not positive it can perform any miracles on my thinning hair, but it’s a nice product. There’s no real scent I could detect and the product is clearish so there was real wrestling to get the product to blended in. Hair feels a little more dried out than usual, but I think that’s to help build the illusion there is more hair.

Now this isn't a volumizer, you're not going to get huge bouncy hair but you will get a nice subtle boost. Feels and smells refreshing! Very easy to use. Using this product along with the rest of the acidic growth line for the past month, I have a good amount of new hair growth/baby hairs! Can't wait to see the long term use results!!

Easy to style afterwards and my hair looks thicker from applying the spray. Although I do use the entire system from shampoo conditioner to the sprays to not sure how the results would be alone. I’m sure it would give volume but this actually makes my hair healthier. As for hair growth I would need more time to tell.

This bottle comes in a plastic bottle with a squeeze handle. This product does hold your hair and makes it crunchy and stiff. For better use I spray it closer to my scalp and work it into the scalp and top of the head only while my hair is wet. It does not have a scent, at least not to me. This works well as far as I can tell. Pair it with the rest of the hair system. It does not dry out my scalp or cause any irritation. I give this 5 out 5 stars. I recommend this product.

This spray is lightweight and doesn’t make my hair look or feel greasy. The instructions are easy to follow and it’s easy to use. It also is a heat protectant which is good! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very curious about this product, but was interested to know that my hair felt very sticky when using it following the shampoo and conditioner in the system it almost felt like I put in a texturizing spray at my roots. It made it very hard for me to run my fingers through my hair and felt dirty at the end of the day as if I had to wash it even though I just washed it with the full system. I’m not sure if I would label it as an identifying spray, but it definitely feels more like a root lifting spray. I thought by the packaging it was meant to be more of a hair growth product but in this case it’s just to make the hair look fuller which it does, but the hair feel is a little uncomfortable.

For one, the sprayer broke almost instantly which made it pretty much unusable. When it did still work it definitely added texture my my hair but left it feeling kind of dry and crunchy. I could see using this for maybe before an updo kind of hairstyle but wasn’t for me for everyday use.

My hair definitely appears fuller after the first use. While a bit awkward, the trigger spray does have a pretty fine mist with even coverage! If you struggle with fine or thin hair, this is a great product.

It does not make my har crunchy which I appreciate. It just adds a bit of body and makes my hair look thicker, especially around the crown. It is subtle, but you can definitely see the difference.

If you let it air dry it will make your hair crunchy but it does comb out and still provide volume/density. I wish it wasn’t as soapy smelling in fragrance. Otherwise it was impressive in its results.

I’ve used it for three washes now and I haven’t seen a difference in thickness or fullness. I really wanted to because my hair needs it after being postpartum for a year and a couple months now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken densifying spray used in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner, gave my roots a sure lift. I tested out just the shampoo and conditioner alone on one day, and then the shampoo and conditioner with the densifying spray added in on another day. I definitely got more lift with the addition of the densifying spray. I did, however, find that I had a little bit of a coated field to my hair where the spray had been applied. My hair did not feel as silk like and flowy like the day when I had only used the shampoo and conditioner. I personally do not like when I can feel product in my hair and when it changes the texture. This was partly user error as the directions do specify to use primarily at the roots. Going forward I will ensure to use this only at the roots and not comb throughout the rest of my hair to avoid the coded texture throughout my lower strands. I think this is the key to using this product as that is where the lift is needed. The product does what it says it will do; it adds volume!

I have very fine, straight hair, so any body is a win. This product did make my hair a bit “crunchy” at the roots, but I may have applied too much.
