It gets my hair clean in one wash and stays clean longer than some other shampoos I’ve tried. I do believe my hair is thicker after using this with the rest of the system of products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though it’s not sulfate-free it’s ph balanced formula doesn’t strip the hair of it’s moisture. And, I love and need to use shampoos containing sulfate to not get any buildup. And I’m noticing gradual increase in volume as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Redken products in the past and had a favorable experience, so I was very excited to try this. I am very picky about shampoo, and I love this one! I liked it enough that I already purchased another bottle. It adds noticeable volume without making hair feel coarse. Sometimes volumizing shampoos make hair feel like straw, stiffening the hair to provide the volumizing effect. This one makes my hair look extremely healthy, soft, and shiny. My mom didn’t know I was testing this product, and asked me what I was using to get my hair so shiny! It is an effective cleanser without being stripping. My scalp can get a little oily, and I use some heavy face creams at night that creep onto my hairline and can be difficult to wash out. I have to double cleanse the lotion areas, but the rest easily rinses away, leaving my hair squeaky clean. My scalp feels very hydrated and soothed, without being greasy. It smells absolutely amazing. If I had to describe it, like ocean air - sea salt and citrus. It is fresh without being astringent. The first time I used this my husband told me I smelled amazing! It is definitely a unisex scent. The texture is a little unusual for shampoo. It is clear and thick, almost gel like. It still lathers very well. I have not noticed any change in my hair density, not sure that can be accomplished by a shampoo, but my hair feels extremely healthy. It also has more volume and bounce. I definitely recommend this, and the price is affordable compared to similar products.

Styling became frustrating because I love volumes hairstyles. My hair felt fragile, flat and tired. Then I received this shampoo and I went a little crazy (in a good way) because it did unbelievable work and gave me an amazing finish! I am telling you this after 2-3 weeks of using. The texture is so lightweight but at the same time rich enough to feel professional. After application, rinsing the product is another satisfied process. I can feel between my fingers how soft my hair become! It has really amazing and cleanly scent. It cleans scalp really deep without stripping. After shower I feel that my scalp is so fresh, relaxed and calm. I don’t know if it is temporary or not but I noticed that now my hair started feeling stronger at the roots. Not heavy, not coated, just much healthier. Yesterday I was going to a wedding of my friend. I prepared my hair and scalp with all my Redken products and I made a hairstyle by myself and I can say, my hairstyle has never been that good before!!! In this product everything is more perfect than I was expecting. The price is quite high but I think it definitely worth it and I am planning to buy again when I will finish this set. I highly recommend to use this product but for excellent result I recommend to use it with the other products from the same line. The conditioner, scalp serum and instant densifying spray. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Add volume with just one wash! Immediate results after the first wash. Hair feels more full after use. Without added products, hair can be a little frizzy after washing, but with added products, the volume is manageable and apparent. Hoping that after long term use I will notice long term changes. The smell is light and earthy, leans a little masculine, but not overpowering. The packaging is terrible. The lids are the worst lids I’ve dealt with in a long time. I have broken both thumb nails and cut my timber trying to open the lids. At least we know they seal well, but no bodily harm should be caused by shampoo! I had to pour the shampoo into reusable bottles in order to continue use. I will only get this shampoo again in refill bottles. Never again with these lids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Redken's Acidic Grow Shampoo smells like my childhood dentist's office. I could get over the unpleasant scent if this shampoo performed well, but my experience hasn't been a good one. This shampoo makes my hair feel so tangled, unmanageable, and grubby - even after washing twice. I've even tried brushing and sectioning my hair before getting into the shower, but it doesn't help. I've never had this problem with any other shampoo. Once my hair is dry, it doesn't look any thicker. To make matters worse, I've experienced a bunch of breakage when brushing out all the snarls caused by this shampoo, so my hair probably looks worse than it did before I started using it.

This shampoo has a clear gel texture that lathers easily and spreads nicely through my hair. A little goes a long way. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and refreshed without feeling stripped. I also love that the entire system has the same fresh citrus scent that feels bright and clean. After rinsing, my hair feels light, soft and ready for the rest of the routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first ph balance and growth system I’ve used. The shampoo lathers well and feels good to apply. It has a light fragrance that pleasant. I initially enjoyed the use of the product in the system and it is currently winter and based in Southern California where it dry or low humidity so this may contribute to the result of causing an itchy dry scalp and hair being extremely dried/rough a few days later. I used a second time and once hair was dry my scalp was itchy and dry again, so maybe it meant to be use once a month and not a few times a week or to be used in a more humidity environment. Regarding assisting hair growth I’ve only used twice so I don’t think that will impact a noticeable change, but I could not stand the dry itch scalp. Maybe the system should include scalp serum that hydrates a bit more.

Redken is a staple brand for me when it comes to my hair care so I was extremely excited to test out this new system. The shampoo is clear in color, it lathers up great like any other of the Redken shampoos. It has a refreshing lemonchello scent that is more warm than awakening. I do enjoy this shampoo. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and not dried out.

After using this shampoo, along with the conditioner, scalp/hair serum, and the densifying spray I have so much new hair growth! It lathers well even on hair with lots of dry shampoo, and easily rinses clean. It’s a bit strong of a cleanse for me to use daily, but I enjoy alternating this product with a more hydrating formula throughout the week. The scent is my absolute favorite, I’m obsessed.

It’s easy to clean your hair without leaving it stripped or with buildup, and rinses out leaving hair soft. I use The Whole system from shampoo conditioner to the sprays so I find it to be working great for me. Although I don’t know how the shampoo alone would work for the aspect of making hair looks fuller.

It suds nicely and rinses well leaving your hair feeling clean with no residue. It doesn’t make my hair feel dry at all. Just clean and healthy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Acidic Grow Full Shampoo had a viscosity between melted butter and honey- not too thick or thin. A little went a long way, and it lathered extremely well. I left it on the scalp for 3 minutes before rinsing (as directed). While on the scalp, it felt stimulating but not irritating. It rinsed out cleanly. Once my hair dried, it felt clean, fresh, and bouncy. The shampoo claims to "coat the hair fiber for an instantly denser look." My experience aligned with this claim. It was subtle, but my hair was noticably fuller. This change was more noticeable when combined with the entire Acidic Grow Full System. Each product within the Acidic Grow Full System had a subtle botanical aroma- similar to blue chamomile. It came across as natural, not perfumey. Over the course of a week, I noticed my hair become less frizzy and more shiny. There has, also, been less breakage and hairfall in my brush. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

This shampoo has a slightly chemical smell, but not bad, rather like salon shampoo. I had to double wash as I didn’t feel it got my hair very clean the first time (it was verrry dirty). After a double cleanse, it felt clean without being stripped.

This shampoo has a rich lather that leaves hair clean after the first wash, which I’m not used to. I usually need to wash twice! Left my scalp clean and not irritated at all. After a week of use, I could clearly see a reduction in hair loss, and my hair was more manageable and healthier. The product has a citrus scent. This makes me feel very comfortable using it, giving me a very relaxing and refreshing feeling. The scent lasts all day and is very subtle. The product's ingredients mainly focus on thickening and improving scalp health thanks to Azelaic Acid, caffeine, prebiotics, etc., which help balance and improve the health of the scalp and hair roots.

The shampoo is thick and lathers beautifully. It makes my hair feel so clean but not stripped. No dryness and my hair feels healthy. The shampoo has a very nice floral scent that smells nice and isn’t overpowering. I only apply to the scalp, lather it up and let the residue rinse down the ends, then repeat and follow with matching conditioner. I saw much more volume in my fine hair and absolutely love how this system made my hair feel.

This product, and its full system, is supposed to provide the look of fuller hair. I do like that my scalp is very soft after using this shampoo. However, I haven’t noticed much difference in the appearance of my hair. The smell is similar to typical Redken products, but gives off more of a chemical scent in my opinion. I like the simplicity of the push open/close cap, making it easy to access while in the shower. I will continue to use this product, but so far I’m not too impressed.
