Redken Brews Clay Pomade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thick hair, and this clay pomade is doing an excellent job with my hair and hairstyle. It holds up extremely well for the entire day in the office. The application of the pomade is better than any similar products I've purchased in the last couple years. Other products I've used recently will have clumps of product that I either miss when applying or have to fight to work out when putting it on my hair. No with this. I don't feel like I've had to use much product at each application to get what I want done with my hairstyle but I still get great hold and finish for the entire day. Genuinely one of the better hair products I've used, if not the best. Will be coming back to it again, especially considering how long this jar should last me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been growing my hair out and I've noticed that while gels keep most hairs down, little hair tend to still escape the capture making the hair style look a bit messy. But with this pomade I managed to keep all the hairs down and it gave my hair that wet-ish kind of look which is something I always looked for in gels. While the substance itself is annoying to touch due to how sticky it gets, it's definitely worth it for those days where you need something with a strong hold and a beautiful sleek finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, since I am not one to use a product once and review it right away, I used the Clay Pomade for a week. On a whole it is a good product. Has a nice texture, goes on the hair easily, and combs in evenly. As a men's styling product, it definitely matches up. The downside for me though, is that I like to put the product it, comb, and go. I found out quickly that you need to blow dry and style your hair when using the product, or it leaves a heavy wet look to the hair and drys with almost a wax like feeling. I actually had to build in extra time to my morning routine to do that step, which was a challenge some mornings. If you are a guy that styles and blow drys you hair, I think you would really like using this. It is a far better product than most of the hair care stuff on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know if I would replace what I already use with this product, but it definitely works well with holding the hair up in the way that you want it. The pomade in the container is a little bit firm, maybe a little too much for my liking, but it goes in relatively easily and forms a good hold on your hair. It works very well. It's definitely a great option, although I think I'd probably just stick with the product that I already use for my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a fair variety of different hair products and this one is definitely an interesting selection from Redken. To be transparent I'm really not feeling the gritty texture that you get when you apply this product. Especially on dry hair - in my opinion you should definitely avoid using this on completely dry hair. It's way too thick and, again, gritty, that it just seems to clump up and leave you with somewhat of a tangled mess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the pomade thinking it was going to be like every other. I have semi-fine hair and most products make it look greasy and do not hold. When first opened, it just has a light fresh smell and looks kind of grey brown. It seems kind of wet at first but i warmed in my hands and applied and instantly there was pretty good hold and control and a natural finish, for the price aswell, its definitely worth a shot. It surprised me!

I might have laid it on a little thick, but at least it's working! It leaves my hair just a little bit sticky after use, and definitely need to wash my hair out at night, but for those instances where I really need to get my hair a certain way, I'm confident that this is the pomade I will be going for! Great stuff!

However, I wouldnt say it it better than my Davines or Hanz de Fuko pomades. I thought this one was a bit too slimy and took a while for the texture to hold my hair in place. Had to wear a hat in order to make sure it was the way I wanted my hair to look slicked back. I would give it a 7/10.

I generally style my hair as a more modern side part and this is the perfect product in my opinion. It works in nicely and doesn't weigh the hair down or look "wet." It gives a nice natural look and allows you to shape throughout the day. I will be buying this product again in the future!

I have used multiple different brands, and found there is a fine line between a strong hold and a hassle washing it out. Redken Brews Clay Pomade for Men walks that fine line perfectly. It is easy to use, has a pleasant smell, has a very strong hold, and is not a hassle to wash out. Highly recommended.

I don't want to look super slick like a 1920s wise guy, but I do need a product that will hold my hair in place and give it a little shine. This stuff is good. It's easy to work through your hair and holds well throughout the day, especially for taming unruly spots that like to stick up, like cowlicks.

I would apply a very small amount in my hair after the shower and it would last all day. With most pomades I would have to wet my hair or reapply at least once throughout the day. Not with Redken! It held and kept my hair looking great.

Just a little bit of pomade held my style together. The pomade did have a noticeable scent that I wasn't fond of but others may appreciate. I would definitely recommend for daily use.

This clay pomade by Redken Brews had a masculine scent, and was easily applied with some wet fingers to my damp hair. I used it daily for weeks and was always amazed at how it made my hair feel.

I've tried this a few times and my hair stays put and doesn't look or feel greasy or wet. I will definitely be using the whole jar up since I'm impressed with how well it holds up.

The hold is amazing but my hair feels waxy so I'm only using it when I'm really active and need extra hold. There's very little smell to the product, slightly earthy if I had to name the smell.

I have thin hair and the only downside is that when applying you have to be careful or you definitely can feel the pull on your scalp m other than that I totally recommend it!

Recommended by the barber who works at the salon my wife uses. I have thin fine hair that is hard to control (frizzies). Just a little dab on wet hair, let dry then comb and holds all day. Works better than the gel i was using.

[Employee of redken] Did a good job holding my hair, but my grey hair turned red, or as my granddaughter laughed you have pink hair. I try washing it out and still my hair is red!

I started buying this clay after my barber used it on my hair once after the haircut. I love how easy it is to apply this product and to create different looks or restyle it with a really good hold and natural finish. I would recommend to use it on a damp hair rather than completely dry and then to use the blow dryer to secure your hair in place. You can add some more product afterwards if needed or if you want to add some more texture. So far the product is 5 stars, however I gave it only 4 and here's why... I'm on my 4th clay pomade so far and 2 of them delivered exactly what I described above, but 2 of them didn't really meet the expectations and the results that made me start using it. My hair instead of looking natural seemed greasy and it was much harder to restyle it after the product has settled. On the hands, the two I liked were more dense and sticky while the two I disliked were softer and oily. The only difference that I noticed on the packaging is that the one I liked is "Made in Canada with Canadian and imported parts" and the one I disliked is just "Made in Canada" if that makes any difference.
