REDKEN BREWS CLEANSING BAR

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i received the package the smell of the soap, was coming through pretty strong and it reminded me of my grandmothers house with her old school candles. The texture of the soap was rough and it didn't lather real good. When you wash it off that smell of the soap stayed on your body which for me interfered with my cologne, which i did not like. The good thing is that it did not irritate my skin at all. I suggest going back and make the soap a little smoother and have more subtle smells that men like and women will love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this redken brew soap to test and i am mixed. The soap does a great job of cleaning my skin. And it leaves my skin soft. I have a problem with some soaps making my skin red but i had no problems with this soap. It also makes a good lather when washing. That may be why the soap disappears quickly. I mean the bar was gone a lot faster than any other bar soap i have used. Also the smell is not for me my wife liked it though. So i do recommend this product but it does have some flaws.

This cleanser is nothing like traditional bar soaps and does not contain typical bar soap ingredients. It does not leave a residue on you or your shower. It does not strip you skin or dry it out. It's highly lathering and lasts a long time. And the fragrance is amazing. I cannot describe it...smells like nothing else. I've been using this since the 1980's! They should bring back the women's version the Amino Pon bar.

Ive seen the bar soap for years because ive used the gel for 15 years. I admit, i scoffed at the price of the cleansing bar. Until i tried one. Invigorates me in the morning and the scent is almost a throwback scent. It almosts reminds me of something my grandfather would use. I know that may sound awful, but once you smell it youll get what i mean. Dont sweat the price tag, try it!

Have been using this "soap" for decades. The pH balance preserves the skin's natural ability to kill harmful bacteria since they cannot survive the natural acid level of the skin--my health is better because of this bar and my skin is as smooth and healthy looking as a 25 year old (I am 70). Best skin cleansing product out there.

Because I do use a simple bar in the shower, I would often forget to use this special face soap sitting by my bathroom sink.To me soap is basically soap. There's expensive Soap, and there's cheap soap. But at the end of the day, soap is soap.

I liked the manly scent but expected a bit more foaming. Would recommend to the boys to try for themselves. No image available since I did not keep it after two months.

It has a very clean after shave smell that wakes you up in the morning, leaving you energized and ready to go for the day. The suds was quality without being over foamy and rinsed off easily. The soap leaves the skin moisturized, clean, and smelling good all day.

I have been using this bar, in it's various forms, for 50 years. My dad, a hairdresser, got us started on it. I don't use nearly the lotion on myself that others do because of the (Men's) bar. If Redken ever decides to discontinue the Bar, I will be renting a U-Haul and driving to the factory to stock up.

I have been using this bar since I was 18 yrs. old when it was called RK Mens Bar. I am now 68. I love love love this cleansing bar and have used it on all of my children and they have passed it on to their kids. I always put some in the Christmas stocking. I can't say enough. Thank you Redken

It is a smooth clean. Highly Recommend for any one who regularly uses cleansing bar or who wants to try one again.

The smell lasts for a long time which is a good thing. If they came in a different sent I would purchase it every time I needed soap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I get older, I've begun to realize that sometimes the best items are the ones that keep things simple. I've used every kind of bodywash, deodorant soap, known to man and it always leaves me disgusted by the mess, the extra containers in the shower or having to shake the bottle to get the last few bits out. That's what impressed me so much about the Redken Brews. It's simple. It doesn't smell like deodorant or perfumes, but it does smell great. It doesn't leave some filmy residue on your body when you use it... It's just great soap, as simple as that. And there is a scent to it, but it actually smells the way a man would want to smell... Nothing wrong with my wife's soap, but I don't want to smell like cucumbers or whatever brand she's using. The beauty in the Redken bar is the simplicity. I will definitely buy it again and I will definitely recommend it to others. You notice that the quality is quite a bit better than most of the bar soap you buy and definitely better than the bodywash that everybody seems to be using lately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cleaning bar worked very well getting rid of all but the worst grime such as paint. The scent was nice but not overpowering. It left my skin clean and soft with no residues even tho it foamed up like a liquid body wash. I highly recommend this product.

I used it to wash my face. As far as feeling clean it did what it was supposed to but I have found better products.

I've used this since the 80's. great for hormonal teenage skin, baby's delicate skin, and for shaving. So clean feeling with out the tightness. I wouldn't call this a soap. It's a bar. You will find no soap scum in your shower from this product.

I have used this blue bar for over 50 years as a face cleanser and a first-wash shampoo. I am 74 and have great young-looking skin. It used to be called a men's beauty bar. The women's version was pink. It's the only soap I ever use on my face.

As stated by others. I've used this bar for over 40 years and it's the only go to bar. Even while in the army and stationed overseas, I'd have it sent to me. It's disappeared again from all sales platforms, really hoping it isn't discontinued!

This bar is great at helping clean your beard I use it every time I’m washing my beard and I wouldn’t do anything to improve the product because it’s great as is it’s very affordable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that ask

[Employee of redken] A best of cleaning and NON-Drying soap; i love it for face but also occasional body soap and zero stripping or dryness of skin…. Yes has a little clay smell but no residual; 100% for face but again good on body too!!!

I used to use the Redken bar soap in the 80s and loved the product. I had lost track of the product in the last 40 years but just found it in a salon I visited in NM. It’s exactly how I remember it… a phenomenal product. That smell!

I know this product says it is for men, but that’s not even the case. My mom has used red men products for 30 years and this bar soap used to be considered a facial cleanser which is what i use it for. I love this soap so much.

I have used variations of this product for well over 50 years--I preferred the first version that I used although it was not as long lasting as subsequent versions. (The later versions were more "soap like" in texture.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Soap has an old scent that is overpowering. The lather leaves much to be desired. The pumice style cleanser is abrasive and unpleasant. Overall this is a decent product but not something that hits the top of the list.

Soothes dry, rough skin. pH balanced to conform to the skin's natural acid mantle. Smells great. Not overpowering. Not made like soap, so does not last like soap. Allow bar to air dry between use.
