[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free full sized Redken Big Blowout Heat Protectant Jelly in exchange for my honest review. I have never tried a jelly heat protectant before so it was fun to try out. After racking the product through wet hair and used the blow drier, it dried down smoothly without making my hair feel hard or greasy. After styling my hair I noticed a there was zero frizz throughout the day and left my hair pretty soft and silky. The scent is a bonus. It is so lovely. I definitely recommend.

It literally does all of the things it says:
- Instant volume and texture? Check.
- Leaves hair naturally bouncy? Check.
- Natural luminous shine? Check.
- Anti-frizz and anti-humidity benefits? Check.
- Heat protection up to 450° F? I think so! I'll have to see over time how the heat damage goes.
- Juicy fragrance with notes of rhubarb, orange flower, and cedarwood? Check.
I have type 2b/c hair and its natural state is 'poof'.
I've done blowouts with the blowout brush tools countless times.
But the results after using this were truly different than what I was used to. I'm super happy.
I used a half pea size amount on each ~3/4 inch section -- root to tip.

I didn't really care for the smell. I applied to towel dried hair as directed. I blow dried as usual. I also curled my hair on high temp. I waned to test the heat protection. Now my hair is straight. It's hard to get and keep curls. I really have to heat my hair as hot as possible. I was very happy that this Redken Big Blowout Heat Protection Jelly helped keep my hair shiny and healthy looking through all that heat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really grateful that I was gifted this product in return of my honest feedback! First off, I want to say this product smells amazing. The smell definitely lasted all day. I would also like to add that I am not a big fan of blow drying mousse or jelly from past experiences of different products making my hair feel very weighted down and crunchy but this product was the opposite! Even after blow drying, I was still able to run a brush through it to finish styling which says a lot about how the product is so lightweight. I would definitely recommend this to friends that diffuse their curly hair because it adds so much volume and definitely keeps the texture!

I used this product three times to style my hair before writing this review. It is a heat protecting jelly that is easy to apply before blowdrying. I combed it through damp towel dried hair and after blow drying, my hair was noticeably more shiny and there was less frizz. It left my hair feeling silky soft and there was also increased volume. The only downside is I don't personally like the smell, and I had to wash my hair a day sooner than usual because of the product. It is not as lightweight as I would have hoped for. I still would recommend this product because the results are so lovely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a product that I wouldn't typically use to blow out my hair since it's marketed as a gel but OMG I'm so happy I decided to try it! This is a heat protectant that also gives the hair texture and volume. As a finer-haired woman, those are some things that I never thought I'd get with an at-home blowout! You only need about a dime-sized amount (my hair is a few inches past shoulder-length) so a little goes a long way and this tube will last me awhile! I also love using it in conjunction with the Redken heat protectant spray... *Chef's kiss*!! If you want a good blowout, get your hands on this!

I use about a quarter-sized amount and work it through my damp hair. Then spray with the heat protectant and got to work blow drying! I've done a full, smooth blowout with it and it lasted for three days, staying shiny and soft. It really encourages all hair to lay down and seals some split ends I've got going on. I've also used it to blow dry my natural curls/waves and I think I liked it even better! Other than heat protectant, I put no other products in my hair but this and it even had a little hold! It left my hair shiny and helped tame frizz. Really love using this!

Horribly Strong Scent and No Volume

I used this product once and returned it to the salon. I have fine hair with lots of layers in order to get lift and movement, and the small amount of this product I used weighed my hair down and made it feel like it was coated in something and needed washing. In addition to not creating any volume, it also didn't help style my hair or control frizz as I had hoped. What I disliked about this product was the scent - it's awful - far too strong and not nice smelling. I could smell my hair all day long and the fragrance was still in my hair after I washed it (lathered twice) at the end of the day. With so many people being sensitive to fragrances nowadays, I can't understand why some companies produce overly scented products like this one. It actually irritated my lungs.

It does work well and not a lot is needed to get the job done. It does work better than some of the lesser known brands I have tried. Its a gel-like consistency so goes through the hair easily and doesn't leave a crunchy feeling but a very smooth and volumous finish.
The only thing i do not like is the scent, it too strong and candle-esc.
Would recommend for someone who is looking for a similar style product.

I LOVE that its has heat protectant in it, that's a huge selling point for me. It definitely tackles frizz and humidity, and gave me tons of shine too. It has a little bit of hold in it, so it made my blowout last the whole day. I usually blow-dry upside down and it takes typically 15 minutes or so, and this made it so quick and easy, I think under 15 minutes total.

Great product -overpowering fragrance

I bought this product about a month ago with high expectations. It delivered on its claims, and my hair looked great, but the fragrance was too strong - like a very concentrated spicy men's aftershave . Others around me remarked on how heavy the odour was - I wound up having to rewash my hair. I was disappointed, as this seemed to be such an excellent product otherwise.

J'ai acheté ce produit après avoir vu un vidéo sur Youtube, je m'attendais à mieux ! Ne réussit pas à contrôler mes frisotis et l'odeur est insupportable, j'ai dû me laver les mains deux fois pour faire disparaître l'odeur. Quand les gens portent un parfum qui a une odeur semblable, je m'éloigne et je l'ai maintenant sur la tête !

I bought this a month ago but I have to stopped using it on my fine hair as it makes my hair extremely tangled in the drying process, causing damage, and it also flattens my hair. I have compared with and without it a few times and always more volume on top without it.

It fried my hair gave me a color chemical burn. My hair has never gotten damaged from using shades eq this was my 1st time using shades eq plus bonder . My hair strand elasticity strength is weak and breaks off and coils back crunchy , it feels like gum
I used it as directed and I don’t have any medications and it felt horrible while I rinsed it with just water before I used my vegan shampoo
It’s been a horrible experience, I’ve been using non permanent hair color for a couple years now to regrow natural healthy hair. And now my entire hair strand is damaged. I contacted redken directly and the rep was rude and kept talking about herself and how she’s a chemist and she burns her hair off and blah blah blah. Very rude I’m literally in shock .

My stylist uses this on my hair when I get my balayage lightening. Rather than paying 80.00 for a toner application only between full services, I decided to try it at home. Mixed it exactly as was described using 2 bonder colors (9V and 10GRo), 000 crystal clear, and the processing solution. Applied to clean, dry hair and left it on for 20 minutes. May hair looks like I just left the salon. It is shiny, soft and the color is exactly what I was looking for. I realize doing a home hair color job is not always recommended and can be done incorrectly, but I followed all the directions and it came out perfect.

DREADFUL PRODUCT!!

I used the product a week ago. It made my hair extremely, dry, fizzy and stiff -- more like straw than hair. I to correct the situation by using deep conditioner, mask, your 25 Benefits One United in an attempt to reverse the damage/condition -- no improvement. I couldn't be more upset, worried, unhappy and at loss as to how to restore my hair to its previous state..

Crap product

I used the shades eq gloss and the gel product with it and my hair is HORRIBLE now. The color is cute but my gorgeous soft long hair is freaking straw now. I can’t even wear it down it’s so staticky. Redken ruined my hair
