Redken Brews Extra Clean Gel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Brews Extra Clean Gel for a few weeks and found it to be an ok product. Very easy to use and to carry on the go due to it's size. It also has a soft scent that I enjoyed very much. It's a very masculine scent. The only issue to me would be that it does not hold the hair that well. The consistency is very thin, a bit thicker than water so you won't have a strong hold at all. I would recommend this if you want to tame fly aways but it wont do a lot more than that.

I didn't think I was going to like it, but it is better than other gels I have used. It doesn't flake like others I have used and it is all sticky and gooey like the others. I think Redken has found a new customer in me. I will be buying more of this gel. I recommend it for anyone who uses gel and doesn't like the flakiness that most leave behind.

It has a much cleaner feel compared to other gels I've used in the past and I've been gelling my hair for 30+ years! I'm staying with Redken Men's Brews Extra Clean Gel and I'm glad I found it. I just discovered it. It also has a nice smell and even feels good in your hands, not too sticky or greasy. Definitely recommend!

It goes on clean and leaves my hair looking more natural then other gels. I have used other Redken Brews products before and I am impressed by all of them. The size of the bottle is a little disappointing but your don't need that much in your hair. I will be buying this product in the future.

I've tried lots of them, but none of them, come close, in comparison; with this one. Not only, do I get the hold I need, it doesn't leave the white residue in my hair, that the other gels would leave. I will definitely be purchasing this again, in the near future.

It's very light and is almost like there's nothing there but it will hold your hair for the day. I was very impressed that there was no flaking or hard crunchy spots in my hair after using it. Now I can style my hair with ease and know that it will look great all day long.

It doesn't weigh my hair down like some other gels have in the past. It does have a nice clean scent that is mild. I didn't notice any flaking at the end of the day, which was good. Since my hair stunk to high heaven I immediately utilized the sample. The smell alone had me feeling like Fabio. Exiting the shower the difference was immediately noticeable. But that's overkill (and too much mess) for on the weekends. I've been using this on more casual days to go to lunch or go grocery shopping and it does and it does a great job. I find I have to use a little more than my typical gel, but it holds my hair just fine and absolutely no crunchies or flaking for hours and hours. Much more higher quality gel than I usually use, I recommend. I'll be using it every day now.

If you're looking for a gel that looks nice and gives a wet like look then it's for you. I have curly/ wavy hair so this gel didn't work that great for me, but someone with straight hair it would probably work better for.

However it doesn't really give you an all day hold. My hair started falling flat and going every which way an hour in. Maybe it will hold if you're not gonna do anything.

Great hair gel with a light clean feel. It does not weigh your hair down, and it has a nice scent. A dime size amount in your hand goes a long way. It applies easy, and does not make your hair crunchy and stiff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have semi long hair and stubborn hair always. Its hard for me to tame my hair a certain way since its so thick. I applied thia out of the ahower on fresh damp hair. When I first applied the product to my fingers I wasn't sure the consistency would match the claim of the hold. I was very very mistaken. This had a smooth application and really made my hair feel soft when I was applying it throughout my hair. A little bit goes a long way with this product. There is no smell to it at all which is great because some are very overpowering. The hold is excellent and has lasted all day without any reapplication which is very very nice. Other gel products would dry out my hair and leave it crispy and later I would have residue but not with the Redkin one. Hair especially for men is difficult to maintain but with this in my grooming kit I don't plan on having any more bad hair days thanks to this. Overall this is a great product if you have stubborn thick hair like me. I have recommended this to my barber and everyone in the shop who uses gel. I was sent this product in exchange for my honest review.

Typically, my husband and I use pomade to style our hair, but since the sample was under three ounces, we decided to try the product out on our trip. Before we received the sample, I was familiar with Redken but not their Men's Brews Extra Clean Gel. In my opinion, the product is very liquidy and I wasn't sure if I had used too much or too little. When I applied it to my hair, I also used water to make my hair stay down and the product seemed to work well enough. On the other hand, my husband has very fine hair and he commented that the product provided him with no definition or volume. Basically, he said the product was only good to make his hair stay flat. While the product may work for others, because of my husband's fine hair, this is not a product that I would purchase in the future. P.S. After I received the product, I received an additional email with the following words: Here are some questions to keep in mind as you eat your Redken Men's Brews Extra Clean Gel. Since I did not eat the product, I hope I used it correctly.
