[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried Redken other products prior but Brews extra clean gel I am trying for first time. I have seen Redken brews extra clean gel in stores but never thought to try it. This time I got to try Redken brews extra clean gel and it did good job. Smells good and holds my hair for full day. Its slightly costly but not too much. I would add brews extra clean gel in my current hair routine. I like to switch hair gels and this one is a good option. I do have some flakes and Brews gel takes care of it. I would recommend this and would buy this again. I would use it 2-3 times weekly not regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on my hair when I had no time to style it and I needed something quick to style my hair. It worked good. I didn't have no flakes even when I had to scratch my hair. Some products state that but then you scratch and it flakes. No issue with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't "wowed." It smelled good, held my hair in place. What surprised me is the consistency. It wasn't watery, but wasn't thick goop I'm used to either. And the brown color was not what I expected. Did it's job. Would probably get it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for an after shower hair gel to achieve that perfect style for men. As the saying goes, less is more and just a drop or two of gel is all that is needed for your hair. However, a caution is warranted. This product while it promotes less flakes is probably best used for someone with already LIGHT dandruff. Applying this product on a damp head still flourishing with flakes of dandruff or dead skin will only increase the visibility of said flakes. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product to be in every mans shower kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been searching for the perfect hair gel for a long time and thought I had it with this Redken gel. It says it's not supposed to be shiny or get stiff. I get both from it. I use a drop smaller than the size of tear drop and I still get a lot of shine and stiffness. I do style my hair while damp so that may contribute to it but I've been using a Garnier Fructis product recently that's very similar to the Redken but I get much better results from it. The Garnier also smells better. I wouldn't use it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of the Redken Brews line, I use the shampoo and the Outplay Texture Pomade. This Extra Clean Gel is great quality, just like their other products. I like the smell, it's smells clean and almost like cologne. The gel doesn't leave my hair hard and sticky, a huge plus! My hair stays in place all day, I never have to reapply it. Washes off easily in the shower. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their hair in place but doesn't like sticky, crunchy looking gel.

Damaged my hair

It fried my hair gave me a color chemical burn. My hair has never gotten damaged from using shades eq this was my 1st time using shades eq plus bonder . My hair strand elasticity strength is weak and breaks off and coils back crunchy , it feels like gum
I used it as directed and I don’t have any medications and it felt horrible while I rinsed it with just water before I used my vegan shampoo
It’s been a horrible experience, I’ve been using non permanent hair color for a couple years now to regrow natural healthy hair. And now my entire hair strand is damaged. I contacted redken directly and the rep was rude and kept talking about herself and how she’s a chemist and she burns her hair off and blah blah blah. Very rude I’m literally in shock .

My stylist uses this on my hair when I get my balayage lightening. Rather than paying 80.00 for a toner application only between full services, I decided to try it at home. Mixed it exactly as was described using 2 bonder colors (9V and 10GRo), 000 crystal clear, and the processing solution. Applied to clean, dry hair and left it on for 20 minutes. May hair looks like I just left the salon. It is shiny, soft and the color is exactly what I was looking for. I realize doing a home hair color job is not always recommended and can be done incorrectly, but I followed all the directions and it came out perfect.

DREADFUL PRODUCT!!

I used the product a week ago. It made my hair extremely, dry, fizzy and stiff -- more like straw than hair. I to correct the situation by using deep conditioner, mask, your 25 Benefits One United in an attempt to reverse the damage/condition -- no improvement. I couldn't be more upset, worried, unhappy and at loss as to how to restore my hair to its previous state..

Crap product

I used the shades eq gloss and the gel product with it and my hair is HORRIBLE now. The color is cute but my gorgeous soft long hair is freaking straw now. I can’t even wear it down it’s so staticky. Redken ruined my hair
