Max Sculpting Gel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great gel to use when letting your hair air dry but also works well when blow drying. It doesn't weigh my hair down or dry it out. It is great for frizz control and shine. I gave up on gel a while back because most I have tried would weigh my hair down and become flakey. I can use this gel and not wash my hair for a couple of days and it still doesn't flake! I don't wash my hair everyday and I can use it to define my waves and then brush it the next day and it still looks good. I started using it on my kids hair as well, it holds well and washes out clean. I would definitely recommend this gel to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Redken Max Sculpting Gel as a free sample. This is my honest opinion of the product. It is very thick. I was thinking it might make my hair stuff. I used the product, I didn't have to use much because of the thickness. I brushed it through my hair and scrunched my hair with a towel. I ran the hair dryer on it to dry it a little. Surprisingly it doesn't leave my hair feeling crunchy. I even slept on it and the next day it still looked nice. I just put a little water on my hair to get back to the shape I want and wash ready to go. I would recommend using, it should last awhile since you don't have to use much. Thanks for letting me try this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Max Sculpting Gel does exactly what it claims. The gel is easy to apply, is not sticky, does not leave flakes in my hair when it dries and it has held up very well in my hair, even after working a 16 hour shift. I like that my hair does not feel hard, like some strong gels have made my hair feel, and it washes out easily. The only thing I wish this product did better, was giving me more of a wet look, which is the look I prefer. Otherwise, it works great and I am pleased with how the product delivers on what it claims to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this gel on wet hair and then blow dried it to see how much hold it would provide. I have fine blonde hair, but using it before blow drying gave it hold, but I need to pull my round brush hard to get the product through the hair. I also tried it while my hair was wet for a slicked back use as suggested. I rubbed it in my hands and flipped my head over and scrunched my hair. It dried with a wet, wavy look that was not as crunchy as other gels I have used. Smelly was pleasant. If your sticking you hair back in a bun or sleek ponytail this works well at keeping fly aways at bay but it does dry shiny so your hair may look like it's dirty if it is a light color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Max Sculpting Gel that I received to try out was just okay. It has a pleasant smell to it when you open up the cap. It did not flake as it advertised on the container. My feedback would be that it didn't really hold up as well as some other gels that I have tried. I'm not sure what the price point will be but I have tried cheaper gels that have worked better. It did last the whole day which was another plus. If it was just a little firmer of a hold I think it would be worth buying. My rating of a 3 out of 5 was simply because I would buy it if the price point was good. Hold and shaping was average.

My hair is unruly, wavy to curly depending on my mood and the weather LOL 😆 I applied to damp hair, scrunched a bit with a towel and let air dry and VAVAVOOOOOOM my curls looked so lovely. I didn't find this gel to feel crispy or hard, but it definitely held.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have frizzy curly hair that I normally use a gel to control it. I thought this might be too crunchy and it wasn't. It gave my curly hair the perfect amount of hold and shine without looking like I had loads of stiff gel in it. The gel is on the thicker side so I can totally see if someone wanted to use this to sculpt their hair while wet. I also used it to blow my hair out straight and it worked amazingly for that too, it didn't weigh my hair down and gave just the right amount of volume. The best thing about it is it didn't FLAKE!! Highly recommend this Redken Max Sculpting Gel.
