[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time using Redken Molding Paste (Work Hard) Love the shape of the bottle..better to grip than the round ones ..the pump was no mess and easy pump just the right amount. The paste has a pleasant scent.. not too goopy or runny..was easy to work with and blended into my hair well without too much work.. was able to shape my style as soon as I applied..style held well but was easy to remold areas I was not happy with. Once dry it was not sticky or dull. Style head for the whole evening and still had some shape when I woke up in the morning. Was easy to shampoo out as well with no left over residue.. I highly recommend Redken Molding Paste (Work Hard)..it worked better than many other molding /styling pastes I have tried in the past. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this line of products before so I had high expectations. And this did not disappoint. I've been letting my hair grow out and I have extremely thick hair so I was curious how this would work. And it also says natural look which I was even more curious about because I have a hard time finding a product that will hold my heavy hair without the hard or greasy you know look which I can't stand. In the hand this feels lighter and and less thick I guess I don't really want to say watery but it works and it works well at least for me. My hair looks very natural with this product. It definitely doesn't look like you have any type of product in your hair. Of course the smell is amazing as is everything else in this line.

I have really thick, unruly hair that is a complete mess by the end of the day. I was pleasantly surprised that the Molding Paste was able to hold my hair in a style and keep it under control. Better still my new and improved look lasted all day. I have used similar products in the past that were greasy or left a buildup on my hair but not with the Molding Paste. Also, I only have to use a small amount so a little goes a long way. This product isn't cheap but in my opinion the price of the Molding Paste is well worth enjoying a nice hairstyle. I'll keep buying this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken molding paste is one of the better products I have used in the past. It comes in a convenient pump with a cap for travel which is great. The product comes out as a very soft paste and hardens very quickly after applied. A single pump from the container is the perfect amount for each application I have found and with the large container it feels like it would last a very long time. It has a subtle yet pleasant smell and works well.
The only cons I have is that the residue left after pumping out the product tends to harden by the next day I go to use it and it requires me to clean the nozzle out before pumping out another application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I may have to use different products in my hair, depending on my hair length, and also the type of hold or look that I want in my hair. This product works much better than other pastes I've used in the past. The Redken Brews Molding Paste does a really great job of adding some texture to my hair and holding it where I want it. The scent is clean and subtle, so it doesn't compete with any other scents I may be wearing. I only had to use a little bit of product to make it work well in my hair. I do plan on getting more of this to use for my daily hair routine. If you like to have a paste with a subtle scent and being able to have a nice hold and texture, you should look at buying this product.

The procuct itself is great however when opening the tube, liquid comes out every time no matter if I shake the tube or squeeze it around to mix. It creates a mess when using the product bc of this issue. I myself never used the product when it was in different packaging but according to other reviews, the previous packaging was better.

Unlike a lot of other styling products out there, Redken Brews Work Hard Maximum Control Molding Paste will NOT leave you sporting that gel or greasy mousse look. It's not obvious that I have any product in my hair.
I have received several compliments from people when using this product. People think I am putting in a lot of time styling my hair when it is only taking me a minute or two in the morning.
The scent is quite manly and is very pleasant.

Other products sometimes leave flakes as the gel dries, or simply appear/feel too still and unnatural. I actually loved the overall paste product. I felt like it applied evenly, held well, and left a natural finish. At the end of the day my hair was right where it was supposed to be, and it even held up through my workouts without mixing with my sweat and burning my eye.
This product does have one major problem that has kept me from buying again. The packaging. No matter what I tired, there would always be product left in the pump top, which would harden and dry by the next morning. I felt like I wasted about 1/4 of a pump every morning getting that molding paste plug out of the pump so I could get to the good stuff. If Redken can repackage this product into one of those upside down flip top bottles, this would be the only product I would use.

You can easily change the style of your hair and won't get any residue. You also can have the freedom of sweating all day in running a comb through it it'll look great! However if you're searching for a product that will keep your hair in one place all day with a hardening product this is not for you. I thought this was an excellent product for anybody who wants to have effortless style especially in the summer months when people sweat the most.

I have been using this product since it was originally called Work Hard. I thought it was amazing! The paste was not greasy or sticky, and it never made my hair look wet. It was also very easy to use in a convenient pump bottle. For some reason, Redken decided to discontinue the pump bottle and started selling it (now called Brew) in a squeeze tube. It’s horrible! Not only is it difficult to use (especially toward the end of the product), but it also forms a watery and sticky liquid that comes out into my hand when dispensing. I’ve tried to shake the tube before using, but I still get this watery liquid that runs through my fingers and all over the counter. As much as I used to like this product, I am actively looking for an alternative SOLEY because of the terrible packaging.

the paste holds my hair great which is no easy task but it does leave little white specs in my hair that make me look like i have dandruff. Plus i don't know if this has to do with how the product is stored before shipping but i find the last few I've bought the water has separated from the paste inside of the bottle so when i go to pump it out i just get a bunch if white liquid and no paste causing me to waste the rest of the bottle. I certainly wont be buying again and i would not recommend to anyone.

Similar to other posts that I have read. The new squeeze bottle is terrible. It is like what happens to mustard or ketchup if you don't shake the bottle. The difference is you can shake this container. Why was this changed. Maybe the bottle with the pump was to expensive. A white water substance comes out instead of the molding paste. Pretty disappointed in this new molding paste. It is not a paste anymore. I will be looking for another product to use.

After taking a shower, I added the product to my hair and combed it out. Typically I do this without any holding solution, but with the holding solution, I found my hair stayed the way I combed it and the solution was not runny or oily. My hair has a very nice shine to it now. I'll definitely will continue using this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paste is easy to work into hair...I have medium length hair (3-5 inches) and have used several different pomades/pastes and like that this one requires 0 "working" with your hands before putting in your hair...simply squeeze out shape your hair. For comparison, when I use something like Uppercut I have to work it in my hands to warm it up and get it a consistency that doesn't leave residue in my hair....Redken doesn't require that!

I've been using Work Hard for over 10 years and the old pump packaging worked great, a bit bulky for the amount but ok. The new packaging sucks, it's designed for a liquid and not for a paste. Besides this, the new presentation is 150ml instead of 100ml like the pump one, so you cannot travel with this unless you check bags. The paste is still great, but looking for other brands that are similar and have a 100 ml bottle.

I had recently started using this at the recommendation of my hairstylist. The first one I got was in the old pump packaging and I loved it! The second one is in the new bottle. For a couple of weeks it worked okay. Then, as others have shared here, it started to separate, coming out as part water and part slime. No amount of shaking would reconstitute it. Safe to say, it does not work as intended in its separated state.

It fried my hair gave me a color chemical burn. My hair has never gotten damaged from using shades eq this was my 1st time using shades eq plus bonder . My hair strand elasticity strength is weak and breaks off and coils back crunchy , it feels like gum
I used it as directed and I don’t have any medications and it felt horrible while I rinsed it with just water before I used my vegan shampoo
It’s been a horrible experience, I’ve been using non permanent hair color for a couple years now to regrow natural healthy hair. And now my entire hair strand is damaged. I contacted redken directly and the rep was rude and kept talking about herself and how she’s a chemist and she burns her hair off and blah blah blah. Very rude I’m literally in shock .
No, I do not recommend this product.

If you use it correctly, it is magical

My stylist uses this on my hair when I get my balayage lightening. Rather than paying 80.00 for a toner application only between full services, I decided to try it at home. Mixed it exactly as was described using 2 bonder colors (9V and 10GRo), 000 crystal clear, and the processing solution. Applied to clean, dry hair and left it on for 20 minutes. May hair looks like I just left the salon. It is shiny, soft and the color is exactly what I was looking for. I realize doing a home hair color job is not always recommended and can be done incorrectly, but I followed all the directions and it came out perfect.
Yes, I recommend this product.

DREADFUL PRODUCT!!

I used the product a week ago. It made my hair extremely, dry, fizzy and stiff -- more like straw than hair. I to correct the situation by using deep conditioner, mask, your 25 Benefits One United in an attempt to reverse the damage/condition -- no improvement. I couldn't be more upset, worried, unhappy and at loss as to how to restore my hair to its previous state..

Crap product

I used the shades eq gloss and the gel product with it and my hair is HORRIBLE now. The color is cute but my gorgeous soft long hair is freaking straw now. I can’t even wear it down it’s so staticky. Redken ruined my hair
